Meets students, specially-abled groups at Raabita Office; praises TMC delegation’s border visit

Srinagar, May 23 (KNO): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday reiterated his commitment to establishing a responsive and people-centric government. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Omar met with various delegations at the Raabita office in Srinagar. Following these meetings, the Office of the Chief Minister, J&K, posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Met various delegations at the Raabita office today. Grateful for the continued engagement and feedback from citizens across the region. We remain committed to listening, resolving issues, and building a responsive and people-centric Government.” During the interactions, a group of students raised important concerns regarding the SPS Library. The post read, “Glad to meet a group of students at my Raabita office today who raised important issues concerning the SPS Library. Libraries are vital to a learning society—we are committed to making them more modern and student-friendly. All genuine concerns will be looked into.” Omar also met with a delegation of specially-abled persons. The statement mentioned, “Their resilience and determination are deeply inspiring. We are committed to building a more inclusive and accessible society where everyone has equal opportunity to live a dignified life.” The Chief Minister also thanked the Trinamool Congress for reaching out to people in the shelling-affected areas. Reacting to questions about the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Poonch, Omar said, “It is good to see leaders visiting the shelling-affected people. I am thankful to the Trinamool Congress for initiating the visit. The delegation of five members reached the affected families in Poonch and Rajouri by road.” He added, “It feels like some people are standing with us during this difficult time.”—(KNO)
